Who May Register & Vote
A person is entitled to register to vote in the county of Tuolumne if they are:
- A U.S. citizen
- A resident of California
- A resident of Tuolumne County
- Not in prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony
- At least 18 years of age on the date of the election
Duties & Responsibilities
The Election’s Office is a division of the county Clerk's Office, and is run by the county clerk. Listed below are some duties the Election’s Office is responsible for:
- Conducting federal, state, and local elections held in Tuolumne County
- Filing campaign statements (itemized listings of candidate and campaign contributors and expenditures)
- Procuring all polling places and recruiting all poll workers in Tuolumne County
- Providing information to candidates on the nomination process and campaign reporting laws
- Providing voter registration information and related materials to candidates and campaigns
- Registering voters and maintaining the voter registration file
- Numerous other duties relating to elections
