ELECTRONIC BENEFIT TRANSFER (EBT)
You will NOT be able to use your EBT card from Saturday, June 23, 2018, beginning at 11 p.m. until Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 11:00 p.m., due to an EBT system update. During this 24-hour period, you will not be able to use any EBT benefits (food or cash). Plan ahead for your shopping needs and for getting cash. After 11:00 p.m. on June 24, 2018, you will be able to use your EBT card again. In addition to the Customer Service telephone number there is an EBT client website at www.ebt.ca.gov – in English and Spanish – where you can check your food and cash balances, see your card use history, and find places to use the EBT card.
DSS is the largest department within the Human Services Agency, which also encompasses: Ambulance Billing Services, Behavioral Health, Public Health, and Veterans Services.
The mission of the Tuolumne County Department of Social Services (DSS) is to provide appropriate services to individuals and families to enhance self-sufficiency. Such services include financial assistance, medical benefits, in-home care for the elderly and disabled, employment and training services, and protective services for children and adults.
Tuolumne County DSS is committed to the safety and welfare of every individual,and takes reports of neglect of abuse seriously.
Quality services shall be provided efficiently, effectively, and humanely without discrimination. Services shall be provided so as to encourage self-respect and self-reliance with regard for the preservation of a safe and stable family life.
